COVID-19 Community Impact

CASE for Kids is seeking a more comprehensive picture of how the Out-of-School Time (OST) community is being impacted by COVID-19. OST programs generally serve school age students age 5-19.This information will be used to inform community decision-makers of the damage sustained by the OST community and to record needed resources to support the re-opening and recovery of our field. We are collaborating with Out 2 Learn Network and Camppedia to reach the largest possible OST landscape.

Questions will pertain to two timeframes: Spring 2020 and Summer 2020. Follow up will be conducted in relation to Fall 2020. Data collected may be parsed by program and/or system, but any financial information gathered will be reported in the aggregate only. We are aware that Summer plans may still be fluid based on evolving COVID-19 developments; and we may send follow up questions as the situation evolves. We are also asking for contact information; in case we need to conduct any follow- up phone interviews. Thank you for your continued dedication to the families of the greater Houston area and your cooperation in completing this survey. Results from the survey will be shared with the community in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of OST services.

As a thank you for participating, you will be entered into a raffle to win a Summer Learning materials kit. CASE has purchased several Mindworks Summer Learning Kits valued at $1200 each. The kits are 80's themed and geared for service to Elementary and Middle school youth. Each kit covers math, science, language arts, social studies and art concepts and includes all materials and facilitator guides.
